Excuse me, do I need to pay a toll to go from Salzburg to King Lake ?

From Salzburg to Königssee, after a little bit of highway, it's all country roads with only two lanes, with a speed limit of 50 kilometers. But Germany's highways, whether expressway A or country road B level, are all very good. Because I went to Vienna first from Munich, then to Königssee, and then back to Salzburg, and finally back to Munich. So I only bought a 7-day Austrian expressway ticket for 10 euros. There will be border police checking passports when entering Austria from Germany.

There are two concepts: the car rental company may charge a cross-border fee for entering Germany; the German Autobahn is toll-free, and, incidentally, there is no Autobahn from Salzburg to the Lake District.
