Just in case, bring a couple of hundred. In case the card has any problems, most of the time it's still swiped.

Sure, I didn't bring Czech crowns when I went either. Local shops of all sizes accept euros, but the exchange rate will be a loss.

It's best to withdraw cash with a debit card, preferably one without fees. Using euros is not a good deal.

Some stores only accept cash, especially some Chinese restaurants, probably to avoid taxes , and you can only pay cash for taxis. Vienna's taxi regulations, Prague also has detours and overcharging phenomena.
