I went to Banff in August 2014. It's cool in the morning and evening, so you should bring a coat. It gets hot in the middle of the day when the sun comes out. If you want to see the icebergs, bring a thin down jacket. The hot springs in Banff are nice, you should consider going for a soak. Just remember to bring a swimsuit.
