The highways in Australia are toll-free. The sections of highways outside big cities are straight and pass through several small towns. All the places marked on the map are inhabited. The distances between towns are usually more than 100 kilometers, and the rest are wilderness and can't collect much money. Even if there are electronic tolls in big cities, they can be avoided by taking detours. You can take coastal A1 on the way there and inland M31 on the way back.
