Have any of you who booked non-refundable hotels on Booking.com ever successfully obtained a refund ?

Time-limited refund, has been refunded, cannot be refunded, should not be possible

I sent a private message to the hotel explaining the reason for canceling the trip (preferably a force majeure, something that the other party can empathize with) and provided relevant evidence. Now it's up to the hotel, if I'm lucky, they might reply and agree. Then I will proceed to cancel the booking on Booking.com. I had a similar experience with Louise Lake Hotel, they replied quickly. However, I haven't canceled the booking yet because the hotel's location is so good, only 5 minutes drive from the lake, convenient for watching the sunrise in the morning. Anybody interested? You can leave a message. One night, either a double bed or twin beds, on August 22nd.
