Just found out that the Xiaofeng Mountain Small Train will stop operating on September 30th. As a result, we will arrive on October 1st... Is there any other way to go up the mountain ?

There's also a hiking route, but the altitude is over 1800 meters.

You can take the cable car. The small train is actually quite expensive. The round trip cable car costs more than 20 euros and is located in St. Gilgen. It is still available in October and is more than 2000 meters above sea level.
