The parking fine really needs to be taken seriously, otherwise it's really a rip-off!

DAY 4 Today is destined to be quite tiring! We set off from the hotel, drove through the middle of the island along a road, passed by the town of Hilo, then went to stay in the volcano village, drove to the Panaluu black sand beach, and then headed back to Hilo, driving along Highway 130 to Kalapana, planning to witness the spectacular sight of lava flowing into the sea at sunset... But!!! Didn't get to see it!!! By the time we got back, it was getting late, so we only made a detour to the Lava Tree Park, and missed going to the Volcanoes National Park!!! It was a major blunder in the itinerary!!! High Alert!!! My itinerary was completely unreasonable!!! Please don't imitate me!!! As seen in the map, we took so many unnecessary detours!!! Here are some suggestions for everyone: 1. I recommend taking the road from the middle of the island to Hilo, I can't remember the name of the road, but I personally feel that it offers more scenic beauty than the coastal road! Also, there is a section with ups and downs that gives you a roller-coaster feel! 2. Staying in the volcano village is a good choice for visiting the Volcanoes National Park! However, if you don't go... or end up like me! Just forget what I said... I felt so embarrassed!!! Going to the Volcanoes National Park late in the day, it's just a 5-minute drive back. 3. About Kalapana! If you've done a bit of research, you must have been looking forward to the hike to see the lava flow into the sea, just like me! This was the main reason I chose to visit the Big Island this time! But!!! The Kalapana lava hike activity has been CANCELED!!! When I got there, I searched for the tour registration office for a long time and couldn't find it... I asked the convenience store girl, only to find out that the activity had been canceled for a year already!!! That's right! Later, I even saw their company's abandoned office covered in dust...!!! PS It seems that the lava hike activity is no longer available on the Big Island...Now there are only two options - a helicopter ride or a boat ride... This is what the little girl at the store said! Please confirm it yourselves! It could also be that I misheard... 4. Although we couldn't see the lava in Kalapana, it's still worth a visit! You will see the cracked earth and a black sand beach at the end of the road! This way, you don't really need to go to Panaluu! Also, you will pass by the Lava Tree Park and another tropical rainforest park on the way, so it's very convenient! In conclusion, I recommend the itinerary: Drive from the middle of the Big Island, after reaching Hilo, take Highway 130 to Kalapana, complete this series of attractions, then go to the volcano village and enjoy a fun time at the Volcanoes National Park! Alright, now let's begin my chaotic itinerary... In the morning, Mom went to the parking lot with the room card to fetch the car, while I waited in the lobby with the luggage. After she got the car, I went to check out with the room card, and she placed the luggage in the car. The Road trip to Hilo took about two to three hours, passing by Mauna Kea along the way. The scenery was diverse and unique at every turn. The most memorable part of the trip was definitely the roller-coaster-like road! The ups and downs, twists and turns were quite exciting! I highly recommend it! Along the way, we passed through many towns, the scenery was so beautiful that we couldn't resist stopping to take a walk. We bypassed Hilo and went straight to stay in the volcano village. When we arrived, it was still early, and the owner Robert welcomed us. Since the room had not been cleaned yet, he showed us around the house and handed us the keys. Our room had a separate staircase leading to two suites, but my mom and I chose to sleep in the inner one. Next to the study, the kitchen and living room were accessible from the study, and there was a door leading outside. With so many doors, my mom found it quite scary... and had trouble sleeping at night! But I didn't think it was a problem! It felt safe to me~ Outside the study in the corridor, there were flashlights, raincoats, slippers, and first aid supplies... I bought my own medicine after being injured that day... only to discover the supplies when I went back for slippers! Since the room was not cleaned yet, we didn't unpack our luggage, instead, we took the keys and drove to the Panaluu black sand beach. After leaving the volcano village on our way to the Panaluu black sand beach, within five minutes, we passed by the Volcano National Park, and then arrived at the black sand beach in a forty-minute drive. There were many foreigners sunbathing on the black sand beach... Of course, our main purpose was to see it! In addition, a secondary purpose was to take photos! Speaking of taking photos... it was a bit embarrassing to take pictures with many foreigners sunbathing on the beach... But I later got used to it and felt less self-conscious! Of course, the consequences of taking photos and playing in the water was that my skirt was ruined... At this point, we were thankful that we had a car and our luggage with us! So we happily changed our clothes and drove to my eagerly anticipated destination - Kalapana! I have already shared the story of how Kalapana disappointed me... My mom and I both felt that since we were already there, even if we couldn't go for the lava tour, we still had to walk around. So we took a walk along the road... and we even saw a signpost labeled 1234! Alas... we were late by a year! You could see the vast expanse of the cracked earth, and could imagine how beautiful it would be when the lava flowed from here!!!

Starbucks is just across the street~ downstairs from the hotel~In Hawaii, walking on the main road in a bikini and going to a coffee shop is also very comfortable! After enough sun, we decided to go to the Amora shopping mall for a stroll! Turn right out of the hotel, walk down the street, and there is a station next to the Aqua Hotel. Take the pink line there, and it's the last stop. The car is an open tour bus, and you can see the scenery along the street. In addition to several major and second-tier brands in Amora, there are also high street brands like A&F, Hollister, and AA. So I happily bought a bunch of AA. If I remember correctly, the pool across the street is Fendi. The shoes on my feet were bought from Tory Burch the day before. We arrived a bit late, and many stores closed early. What's even more frustrating is that the toilets also closed early!!!! As the mall closed, all the toilets were closed... Finally, my mom and I searched for a while and ran to the toilets on the top floor in the food court area. And when we came out, we saw the American cleaning lady auntie closing off the toilets, getting ready to close... Five minutes later and it wouldn't have been possible!!! Not sure what's going on... everyone please be careful! Used my phone to google the boarding location and schedule for the return trip. Ate at a crowded Japanese ramen restaurant in the evening... seems to be recommended on trip advisor! But I think it's just average... On the way back from dinner, I saw this elderly couple. I feel so envious!

Dinner is a Thai meal! Clearly, I started missing rice as soon as I went abroad... When eating out abroad, ordering food is always the most difficult thing for me! I really don't know what to order! It's probably because my vocabulary is too small!!! I can only ask the waiter what the most popular dishes are every time... I'm leaving my fate in someone else's hands... orz Still very delicious! If you don't know what to eat, you can go to this place! By the way, there's a Starbucks in Queen's shop, in case anyone needs this information... I walked around here and didn't find anything good to buy, but I couldn't resist the ice cream shop... I love ice cream! Slowly walking back to the hotel. I'm checking out tomorrow and driving to the volcano village!

Yesterday, my mother said she was too tired and didn't want to drive anymore. So there was no itinerary today, just walking around the hotel. Breakfast was apple pie, yogurt, and fruit bought from the supermarket yesterday. The small balcony has a small table and two chairs, and you can see the sea when you sit outside to eat. After breakfast, we decided to explore the resort area. We drove around and found another public beach connected to the Marriott Beach. After strolling around and taking some photos by the sea, we decided to go back and change into swimsuits for a swim. The sea on the Big Island is much worse than in Honolulu. I suggest that if your itinerary becomes a vacation like ours, you might as well stay in Honolulu for a few more days. There were fewer people at the beach in the afternoon, so it was a good time to take some bikini photos. After swimming for a while, we headed back. We were originally planning to soak in the pool, but we found out the reason why there were no people at the beach in the afternoon! Because the foreigners were all like dumplings in the pool! And no one was swimming, everyone was socializing and chatting...! My mom felt a little uncomfortable with so many foreigners in the pool, so we went back to the room to take a shower. After showering, we went out to eat. Remember I mentioned a queen's shop? We had dinner there! After leaving the Marriott, turn right and walk for about fifteen minutes! The resort was still very quiet at this time, occasionally there were foreigners running! They really never give up exercise no matter when! I hope I can have this good habit in the future!

Actually, the hotel itself has a shuttle to the outlet, but if you have time, you should inquire before going. We missed the shuttle to the outlet and decided to take a taxi. Of course, we changed our clothes... The outlets in Hawaii are not big, and there are fewer brands, such as Coach, Michael Kors, Kate Spade, and Calvin Klein. We bought some Kate Spade items. It's really cheap... I remember seeing a new dress in Taiwan in May, which cost about RMB 4000 at the time. Here, I saw it at a 50% discount and then further discounted, so it's very cheap, only a few hundred to less than a thousand. But the sizes are not complete, so it's all based on luck and body shape. After shopping at the outlet, the scene of packing luggage in the lobby of the hotel was also amazing. Successfully packed. Then we went to dinner! Dinner was still at The Cheese Factory. The price of dinner felt higher than lunch, and the tip had to be higher too. We were given dinner rolls and ordered onion rings with mashed potatoes, which were very satisfying. After eating and drinking, we went back to the hotel and then to the airport. The shops in the airport were all closed at night... and then we went back to our country! The first travelogue is finished... Thank you everyone O(∩_∩)O

DAY6 Completely spent the past few days on Oahu as a vacation... Woke up pretty late today, and there's a restaurant downstairs called LUL's BAR, which is a small bar at night and a restaurant during the day. My mom and I went there for breakfast, and we ended up having both breakfast and lunch, so we had sandwiches and burgers in our food! The papaya was also very sweet! So delicious! After breakfast, we walked around Waikiki, took some photos haha... The sea is really blue and beautiful! It's so beautiful without any PS colors!!! After eating, we changed into our swimsuits and went into the sea... Of course, we couldn't resist taking some photos as a memento! You can clearly see that I've gotten a lot tanner these past few days because I haven't been properly sun-protected... The result of sunbathing like a foreigner is becoming very suitable for fluorescent colors... sigh... I really hope my love handles disappear! I want to have abs!!! The waves in the sea are still quite big! This beach is more suitable for surfing~ Soak in the bath, sit on the shore for a while! Buy a cup of Starbucks to drink!
