We can survive. Our family of four, with my 10-year-old daughter, who has the highest English level and has passed the KET exam, went on our first trip abroad, a 6-day self-drive trip to Germany, without any problems. It's just that our understanding is poor and we have to ask repeatedly. We were once laughed at by a waiter.

Sure, Germans are quite good at English. No problem, what kind of vehicle do you have? Diesel is diesel, the size of the fuel filler is different, so it's not a big deal.
