Do I need to wear more clothes when going to Fiordland and Mount Cook ?

Go to the fjord, wear windbreaker, down jacket, and cotton vest. Those who are afraid of cold should wear thin cotton pants. The cabin has heating, but you have to go to the deck to see the animals. If your body temperature is low, you may get seasick.
The fiords haven't been there yet, but Mount Cook has been there for two days. I signed up for a glacier hiking tour, but it was quite unfortunate. It rained and blew every day, and it was forced to be cancelled. Even if you go to the Hook track and center, it's raining heavily, it's cold and there's a strong wind. You almost don't get out of the car. I feel like you need at least a windproof and waterproof down jacket.
