Excuse me, does anyone know if the national volcanic park in Hilo is located at a high altitude? Can a Dodge with seven seats drive up there ?

Don't stay in Hilo for accommodation; it rains 90% of the time. The Volcano Park is near Hilo, and the main attractions are the Museum of Jager to view the summit crater and the Chain of Craters Road leading to the cliffs with dried lava. You can also park and hike 5 miles to see the lava entering the sea. As long as you don't go up Mauna Kea, you don't need a four-wheel drive; the cheaper, the better. Many recommend a business van. In the Big Island, there's no need to choose a good car rental company; just pick a cheap one. This is based on experience. If you want to go up Mauna Kea to watch the sunset and stargaze, choose the cheapest four-wheel drive, Jeep, or Wrangler for the last few days of your trip. In the Big Island, it's really not necessary to choose a good company. Basic insurance is all you need.
