Our first overseas Road trip was in Germany (Spring Festival 2016). It was safe and convenient, and we will go again. Accommodation is booked on booking.com, cars are booked here, highways, roads, village roads (town roads), the latter are more worthwhile. If you're not in a hurry, go on the highway. Weimar town is nice.
