There is a cross-border fee! Last year, from Hungary to Slovakia, Czech Republic, and Austria, the specific fees for each country are different, ranging from 8 euros to 9 euros, and it seems that none of them exceed 10 euros. This is reported to the car rental company when renting a car. If you don't report it, no one will know, but if something happens, the insurance will not be effective, so it's better to pay it voluntarily.
