How is the public security in San Diego? Will there be car break-ins ?

In the United States, be sure to put things in the trunk and never on the seats.

San Diego feels good to me, probably not as unsafe as some places in San Francisco and Los Angeles. Everyone doesn't need to be too nervous. If everywhere feels unsafe, then don't go anywhere. First, don't leave items in the car. Second, if you find a parking garage or a parking lot with attendants, there shouldn't be much of a problem. Parking for free on the street in busy areas with a lot of people definitely increases the chance of something happening, but not every car gets broken into. I think it's mostly random incidents. It's worth it to spend a little more on secure parking.
