If you go to Gardena Valley, it is generally recommended to stay in Ortisei, stay in Cortina for the three peaks, and I stayed in the mountains for 9 nights, 2 nights in Lake Misurina, 3 nights in Monte Cristallo, 3 nights in Ortisei, 1 night in Funas, and 3 nights because many of the hotels I like can only be booked for 3 nights.
