Here is a tour route around Big Sur. If you start from Monterey and head south, after about 10 minutes you will arrive at Point Lobos, which is worth visiting. Another 20 minutes drive will bring you to Bixby Creek Bridge, a landmark for taking photos. Then turn back and head to Selinas on US101, driving all the way to Paso Robles. If you have time, you can go west to Ragged Point, Hearst Castle, and Elephant Seal Rookery. If you don't have time, you can take a detour to Morro Bay. After that, it's San Luis Obispo. Pismo Beach also has hotels, and I have stayed there before, sleeping with three big chimneys in sight. Then there is San Maria. The hotel here is the cheapest in the surrounding area. There are also hotels to stay in Lompoc further south, as it is close to Vandenberg Air Force Base. After that, everyone knows about Danish Village and Santa Barbara.
As long as you follow my detour plan, there won't be any problems.
I just walked past. The middle section is closed, so I went around 101 highway.
Has been sealed for a long time.
Reply to @Sang Hongbin: Where can I see your detour plan, Mr. Sang?
Sure. Take Highway 101.
