Service areas in the United States are few in number, but in the United States, there are basically cities around the expressway. You can get off at a certain exit to find fast food restaurants, restaurants, etc., which are all available, and there are also restrooms inside.

On highways, such as the ones frequently traveled on the West Coast, like I-5 and I-15, there are no service areas, and you usually have to stop at nearby gas stations, which are generally very close. On the East Coast, however, such as I-95 and Turnpike, there are service areas, but for example, on I-4, there are restrooms and vending machines on either side of the service area, but no gas stations.

On the highways in the United States, there are hardly any rest areas like those in domestic and European countries, which are basically gathering points for dining by the local residents and are open.
