The scenery is actually okay, and the first day is fresh and everything looks good. But there are not many famous scenic spots. Along the way, you will pass the residence of rainbow trout, Lake Lyndon, which is composed of more than 100 blocks of limestone as high as several floors; Castle Hill, a castle-shaped mountain composed of huge limestone blocks; Lake Pearson, an excellent fishing place; and Arthur's Pass National Park, the starting point of several cross-Southern Alps hiking trails.
