Do you mean if Road trip is written on the itinerary, a rental order should be presented ?

The checklist does require a rental car receipt, but in my experience, I have never been asked for it when applying for a visa. It may vary for each individual.
I didn't write it so I don't know, but the online visa guide says that it is best to provide translated copies and notarization if you are driving. In fact, it is completely unnecessary to write that you are driving, otherwise you are just looking for trouble. It's quite a hassle to translate and notarize your driver's license.
The itinerary needs to be written as Road trip and provide a rental agreement and a copy of the translated driver's license or notarized copy.
