Today we arrived at Cook Mountain. The second bridge looked fine and normal. I don't know why it is still indefinitely closed ?

The heavy rainstorm lasting from April 24th to May 1st resulted in the indefinite closure. It is expected to reopen if there are several consecutive sunny days forecasted. When we visited on April 27th and 28th, we could only walk the first section.

The first bridge was closed at the end of March, and it was said that it would take eight weeks to repair. So it won't be opened until late May at the earliest.

There is a sign on the first bridge (5.4 beats). Judging from the speed of New Zealand, it is estimated that it will take a while to fix. But it's not bad to go for a short walk.

Can I still go to Mount Cook? Thank you.
