Can I use 91 octane petrol instead of 95 octane petrol for my Outlander rental car as 95 octane petrol is not readily available in Western Australia ?

95 gasoline is basically available at all gas stations in Western Australia. There are many. Even the Coral Sea in the north only has 95, not 91.

The Outlander can use 91 gasoline. As long as you don't add diesel to a gasoline car, it's fine. It's just a matter of whether the fuel is burned completely or not.

I rented an Outlander, and the rental agency said as long as it's gasoline, I filled up with 91 octane all the way, and there was no problem

I understand that it can only be added with 95 or above.

Best to use 98 or 95
