No minimum, no maximum. If the amount exceeds 5,000 yuan, declaration is required upon entry.

There is no lower limit. You can carry US dollars or the equivalent amount of other currencies as long as it does not exceed US $10,000 (if you are accompanied by family members, the quota is for the group, a total of US $10,000, not US $10,000 for each person). If you exceed this amount, you must declare it to customs.
