We rented a car in Sicily this Spring Festival. The mountain roads were super difficult to drive. The navigation accuracy was basically 0 when entering the mountains. Suggestions: 1. Rent a small car, especially in the Baroque area (Noto, Ragusa, etc.); 2. Park the car at the entrance of the central area and walk in. After all, they are small and can be explored by walking; 3. Never drive mountain roads at night. There is no one around, and there is no response when you call out; 4. The navigation in the mountain town is not accurate and often leads to dead ends. Asking for directions is the best way. When you see locals or police, feel free to ask. They are very enthusiastic.
Be very careful of ZTL, and there is a large-scale road construction in the central part of Sicily. If you are going from Agrigento to Noto, the GPS will automatically choose the inland highway, which often leads to dead ends. I was tricked several times and finally had to ask the gas station attendant for directions on which exit to take... so it's best to take the coastal road.
