Introduction

The Capitol Hill is the legislative branch of the United States federal government, consisting of the Capitol buildings where the offices of the United States Congress are located. It is located in the highest point of Washington DC, at an altitude of 25 meters. This building, which uses Roman architecture, is the office building of the House of Representatives and the Senate, and is also one of the symbols of the separation of powers in the United States. The central circular hall of the Capitol Hill is the geometric center of Washington DC, with huge oil paintings on the walls depicting eight important historical events in the United States. The building also has a magnificent hall that can accommodate two to three thousand people, with a double-domed ceiling displaying the statue of liberty, which symbolizes the American spirit. The exterior walls of the Capitol Hill are all made of white marble, giving a sense of sacredness and purity, symbolizing the highest symbol of the people's sovereignty, governance, and enjoying political power. Nowadays, the dome of the Capitol Hill has become the best background for television news reports on American politics. From 2014 to 2016, the Capitol Hill underwent renovation, with the exterior works completed in winter 2015 and the interior works completed in autumn 2016. Visitors can reserve tickets or purchase tickets on the same day to visit the Capitol Hill, and will not be affected during their visit.
