Introduction

Behind Alnwick Castle is a 3,000-hectare Alnwick Garden. The castle itself is magnificent and luxurious, housing numerous rare treasures. Built in the Middle Ages and later becoming the home of the Percys, Earls of Northumberland, it is a huge building designed by the famous 18th-century architect Capability Brown. Despite the passage of time, Alnwick Castle still retains its classical and luxurious atmosphere, allowing visitors to imagine the noble and wealthy owners and the castle's history. Surrounded by picturesque landscapes of lakes, grasslands, and forests, this castle has been featured in many movies and TV shows, such as "Elizabeth" and "Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves," as well as being one of the main filming locations for "Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone" and "Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets." On this ancient land, which has been around for seven centuries, you can find the site of Hogwarts' flying lessons, and recall Harry's first flying lesson.
