University Park, Where Nature Meets Academia and Leisure

Introduction

Across from Keble College at Oxford University, close to the Pitt Rivers Museum, is a Victorian park popular with students and local residents as a leisure destination. Here, you will see students participating in various competitions training on the field, or simply enjoying the sun on a good day. Cheerwell River flows past one side of the park, where some students and friends can row boats from both ends of the river (students from Wolfson College can rent their own boats). On the other side of the park is a farm where horses, cows, and sheep roam. A river and a bridge separate the city from the countryside, but the park is their junction.
