Introduction

From 1953 to 1997, the Royal Yacht Britannia garnered widespread acclaim for its transportation of the British Royal Family, sailing more than one million miles over its five-deck hull. It has since been retired and can be viewed in a port in Edinburgh. Highlights of the tour include the opulent decor of the State Apartments, crew quarters, engine room, and the stunning Royal Deck Tea Room, offering a glimpse into the life of the royal family at sea. In addition, visitors can use a free audio guide, available in 21 languages, to better understand the yacht's history and culture.
