Introduction

The Notre Dame de Fleurs Church Museum houses many artworks that were originally stored in the Notre Dame de Fleurs Cathedral. Located on the east side of the cathedral, near the apse, the museum has been open to the public since 1891 and has "one of the most important sculpture collections in the world." The collection includes the original "Door of Paradise" from the baptistery's east door and Michelangelo's masterpiece "Pietà."
