Introduction
This church is one of only two surviving Jewish synagogues out of ten in Toledo and is a representative of Mudejar architecture style. The exterior of the church is plain, but once inside, visitors will be deeply drawn to the Mudejar decor on the upper walls and around the altar, as well as the exquisite Cedarwood ceiling. The church also boasts 54 small arch windows, which is a new experience for visitors accustomed to Catholic and Islamic cultures. In addition, there is a exquisite Jewish museum in the church's side rooms that displays many historical artifacts and cultural relics of Spanish Jewry. It is recommended to visit at sunset.
