Introduction

On Castellana Avenue in the capital of Spain, Madrid, two buildings towering 115 meters high on either side catch people's attention. These two buildings are of equal height, but tilt 15 degrees towards each other, causing the distance between the top and bottom of the buildings to be displaced by 30 meters and forming an open archway. This building, known as "the Gateway to Europe," is a masterpiece of American architects John Burgee and Philip Johnson. Not only does it exceed the Leaning Tower of Pisa in height and tilt, but it has also become one of the most striking landmarks in the city center of Madrid. Every day, many vehicles pass underneath it, adding a dynamic and magnificent touch to the city.
