Introduction

The Seven Sisters Waterfall is renowned for its many waterfalls and is known as a star in the Geirangerfjord. These waterfalls, called De Syv Søstrene or Dei Sju Systrene or Knivsflåfossen in Norwegian, are the 39th highest waterfall in Norway and are also part of the Geiranger World Heritage Site. Seven spectacular waterfalls flow through the air, as if the sisters are descending together in a dancing rhythm. The highest waterfall is 250 meters tall. The Suitor or Frieren waterfall is located opposite the Seven Sisters waterfall, endlessly pursuing the Sisters. These waterfalls present the most stunning spectacle between May and July each year.
