Introduction

The Kafka Monument is located at the intersection of Dušní Street and Vězeňská Street, adjacent to the Spanish Synagogue and St. Spirit Church. It is not far from Kafka's former residence (address: Dušní Street 27). The statue is located in an area where Judaism, Catholicism, and Protestantism intersect. The inspiration for the monument came from Kafka's short story "Description of a Struggle." The "Separation" statue was inspired by the psychological split described in the story.
