Introduction

The Horn Village is a small village located within the Weerribben-Wieden National Park. During the ice age, De Wieden was located between two moraines, which resulted in the Horn Village being situated lower than the surrounding areas, with poor and marshy soil covered in reeds and sedges. However, this unique landscape is also the source of its distinctive scenery. Established in 1882, the Weerribben-Wieden National Park still retains rich vegetation and wildlife today. Boating on the small canals in the park and enjoying the beautiful scenery is a refreshing and delightful experience.
