Introduction

This Gothic church, built in 1646, is a building with a long history. There is a statue of Erasmus on the square in front of the church. He was a famous theologian and humanist in the Netherlands, born in Rotterdam in 1466. Erasmus' name is widely respected and can be seen in every corner of Rotterdam. For example, there are universities and bridges named after him.
