Introduction

The Rembrandt House Museum is located in Amsterdam and was the former home of Rembrandt van Rijn from 1639 to 1656. Due to bankruptcy, Rembrandt's personal belongings were auctioned off. Fortunately, there was a detailed inventory of the auction, which allowed for the recreation of Rembrandt's interior design during that period. The museum showcases Rembrandt's artistic style and thoughts through his works collected from around the world.
