Introduction
The Grand Théâtre de Bordeaux, designed by architect Victor Louis, opened on April 17, 1780. It is considered as a temple of art and light, featuring a neoclassical facade supported by 12 Corinthian columns adorned with statues. The theater has hosted significant events, including a meeting of the French National Assembly in 1871. The interior was restored in 1991, with blue and gold as the main colors. The Grand Théâtre de Bordeaux is one of the oldest opera houses in Europe and has never experienced a fire or required reconstruction.
