Introduction

The Claudi Bronze Tablet is the highlight of the Lyon Gallo-Roman Museum. The museum, built from 1872 to 1896, is uniquely designed and built into the hillside, giving the impression of traveling through the stream of history. Through the glass walls of the museum, you can enjoy the beautiful view of the ancient Roman theater. Meanwhile, the three-dimensional model in the museum fully reproduces the original appearance of the theater 2,000 years ago. It is worth mentioning that the Claudi Bronze Tablet was discovered in 1528 and bears an inscription of Emperor Claudius' speech in the Senate in 48 AD. This artifact carries a strong historical atmosphere and is a major highlight of the museum.
