Introduction

Frankfurt Zoo is a zoo located in the city of Frankfurt, Germany. It covers an area of about 13 hectares and houses over 5000 animals of more than 600 species. It was established in 1858 and was the second zoo to be founded in Germany. The first director of the zoo was Bernhard Grzimek.
