Introduction

This museum, established by the Vietnamese government in 1975, provides a detailed exhibition on the brutal history of the Vietnam War, calling for world peace through a vast collection of photographs and texts. The exhibition themes include historical truth, collections of current event photographs by fallen international photojournalists, collections of current event photographs by photographers, the prison system, crimes of aggression, the children's education department, and global support for Vietnam's resistance. A replica of the "Tiger Cage" prison is displayed on the side of the main building, with the original cages located on Con Son Island and Phu Quoc Island. Additionally, the museum courtyard showcases military equipment used by the American forces during the war, including helicopters, bombs, tanks, and fighter planes. Some photographs and exhibits may elicit strong emotional responses from visitors. Please maintain a quiet demeanor while visiting. Even if you have no prior knowledge of the history and war, visiting this museum can provide a profound sense of the weight of its historical significance.
