Introduction

Phra Sumen Fortress is one of the oldest city structures in Bangkok, built during the reign of King Rama I along with 13 other fortresses. This pure white fortress, situated at the confluence of the Chao Phraya River and a canal, leaves a deep impression on visitors. It has now been transformed into a park where visitors can sit and enjoy the passing boats, watch young people skate or dance, or simply take a leisurely stroll or relax. During the New Year, there is also a temporary market that adds more fun for tourists.
