Introduction

The legend says that Onsenji Temple was built by a monk named Dochi in the 8th century after discovering Kinosaki Onsen. The temple houses eleven statues of the Bodhisattva Avalokitesvara and eleven statues of the Thousand-Armed Avalokitesvara.
