Introduction

Koko-en is located inside Himeji Park (Himeji Castle) in Himeji City, built to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the implementation of city administration in Himeji City. The park includes multiple Japanese gardens, each with its own unique feature, such as the main residence garden, tea garden, hill and pond garden, pine tree garden, summer tree garden, flat garden with stream, bamboo garden, and flower garden. Koko-do, located near the entrance of the park, was a school from the Edo period and the origin of the park's name.

Transportation
After getting off at JR Himeji Station, it is a 15-minute walk. Alternatively, you can take the Shinki Bus from the north exit of Himeji Station and get off at Himeji Castle Otemon-mae, and it is about a 5-minute walk.
