Introduction

Hiroshima Genbaku Dome is the only surviving building after the atomic bomb explosion on August 6, 1945. It has been carefully preserved in its original destroyed state. Every year, commemorative events are held here to honor the victims and pray for peace, while also advocating for the elimination of nuclear weapons and the achievement of lasting world peace.

From JR Hiroshima Station, take the Hiroshima Electric Railway streetcar to the following destinations: For the Hiroshima Port direction on Line 1, get off at Hon-dori, Fukuro-machi, or Chuden-mae Front. For the Miyajima-guchi direction and Ebisu-dori direction on Line 2, get off at the "Atomic Bomb Dome" station.
