Introduction

Nippon Maru is an internship ship that used to offer training for aspiring sailors, and it was located in a shipyard. This ship was produced in 1930 and was retired in 1984, after which it was brought to Yokohama Port for preservation and is now part of the Nippon Maru Memorial Park, open for visitors. Its elegant hull has earned the nickname "Pacific Swan." In this park, tourists can not only learn about the history of Yokohama Port, but also visit the Yokohama Port Museum, which focuses on the theme of "Yokohama Port in History and Daily Life," introducing the history, technology, and culture of Yokohama Port since its opening. Exhibits are distributed across two areas: the historical exhibition and the rediscovery of Yokohama Port exhibition area.
