Introduction

Located next to NHK Broadcasting Corporation in Osaka, the Osaka Historical Museum has 13 floors and is a modern building. It is also close to the Namba Palace Site and Osaka Castle Park. The exhibition areas are divided by different time periods, showcasing historical artifacts and exhibits from various eras. For example, the ancient period is displayed on the 10th floor, the medieval and modern period on the 9th floor, historical excavations on the 8th floor, and the modern and contemporary period on the 7th floor, and so on. The museum also features many models, showcasing historical landmarks such as Namba Palace, the former Umeda Station, and Osaka Honganji Temple, as well as various figures of vehicles and people, providing a vivid and realistic understanding of Japanese history and culture.

Opening hours
Open from Wednesday to Monday, 9:30-17:00, with last admission 30 minutes before closing. Closed on Tuesdays (if Tuesday is a public holiday, it will be closed on Wednesday instead) and from December 28 to January 4.
Transportation
Take the subway Tanimachi Line or Chuo Line to Tanimachi 4-chome Station. Exit from either Exit 9 or Exit 2 and walk to your destination. Alternatively, take the Osaka Municipal Bus to Baba-machi, and walk to your destination.
