Introduction

Along the banks of the Shirakawa River, there is a spacious stone pathway that stretches over 200 meters. Along the road, there are picturesque trees, with cherry blossoms and willows intermingling. Traditional Kyoto machiya tea houses and restaurants stand along the way, many of which trace back to the Edo period. Through the lattice windows, you can catch a glimpse of elegant geishas.
