Introduction

Shingon Buddhism temple in Kyoto. The main deity is Yakushi Nyorai. Founded by Wake Seimaro. Also known as "Takasuka Shingūji". It is considered as an important temple in Japanese Buddhist history. Kukai held a ritual here to protect the country, and Saicho gave a lecture on the Lotus Sutra.
