Introduction

KNU (Kyungpook National University) was founded in 1946 and became a national key comprehensive university with five colleges in 1951. It is ranked second among national universities in South Korea. In 2005, KNU was honored as one of the top 100 universities in the Asia-Pacific region, and was the only university to be selected among the 8 universities in Korea. In addition, since 2003, KNU has been ranked among the world's top 500 universities for three consecutive years and recognized as a regional key national university.
