Introduction

Langshan is a scenic area in Jiangsu Province, located on the north bank of the Yangtze River in the south of Nantong City, composed of Jianshan, Langshan, Maaanshan, and Huangnianshan. These five mountains rise up on the Jianghai Plain, like emeralds embedded on the Yangtze River bank, known as "natural water and stone bonsai." Langshan is one of China's eight small famous mountains of Buddhism, the dojo of the bodhisattva Dashizhi, attracting a large number of Buddhist followers every year. There are many attractions around Langshan, such as the Shuihui Garden, Nantong Horticultural Expo Garden, Junshan Scenic Area, and the Oriental Dawude Star Garden. At the top of Langshan, there is a nationally key temple - Guangjiao Chan Temple, enshrining the bodhisattva Dasheng who wears a dragon robe, which is the only one in Southeast Asia. It is said that Dasheng is the incarnation of Bodhisattva Avalokitesvara, full of compassion and deeply respected by people, with a double reputation of "the most effective famous mountain" and "the first mountain of Jianghai."
