Introduction

The Daxiagu Canyon in Wensu County is located in the southern part of the Tianshan Mountains, near the edge of the Tumur Peak National Nature Reserve. This place used to be a must-pass place on the ancient ChaTe Road of the South and North Tianshan Road, and the locals call it "Kuduluk Daxiagu", meaning "dangerous and mysterious". The canyon tourist exploration area is 50 kilometers long, with five types of landforms including Danxia, Yadan, Sub-Yadan, rock salt karst, and unique salt hill bottom fissures, making it a living geological history textbook. Here, you will see countless grotesque stone peaks and stroll through the quiet canyon to unleash your imagination. Moreover, because there are few tourists, the beauty here can be exclusively enjoyed!

Transportation

Urumqi has planes and trains to Aksu City. After arriving in Aksu, you can charter a car to the scenic area. The distance from the city to Wensu Canyon is about one hour's drive.
