Introduction

Li Zhuang Ancient Town, located on the south bank of the Yangtze River in the eastern suburbs of Yibin, is known as the "number one ancient town on the Yangtze River," with a history of 1,460 years. The ancient town relies on the Yangtze River for its livelihood, with streets paved with stone slabs and buildings on both sides in the Qing Dynasty style, such as carved doors and windows and wind and fire walls, full of the characteristics of southern Sichuan. The "Nine Palaces and Eighteen Temples" of Li Zhuang Ancient Town, the former site of the China Architecture Society, well-preserved ancient streets, alleys, countless ancient residential courtyards, as well as the Xuan Luo Temple, Kui Xing Ge, Jiulong Stone Stele, and Bai He Window, known as the "four unique elements of Li Zhuang," constitute the unique ancient residential culture and distinctive architectural style of Li Zhuang. During the resistance war, many students including world-renowned masters Liang Sicheng, Lin Weiyin, Fu Sinian, Li Ji, Tong Zuobin, Liang Siyong, and Tong Dizhou gathered in Li Zhuang, forming its unique culture of resistance war relocation. Due to its proximity to the Yangtze River, Li Zhuang has abundant fish resources, and tasting river fresh seafood is a great choice.
